Somatic Healing Arts

At Crawl Project, we help humans reconnect with their physical potential. Whether you've been struggling with injury, pain or imbalance, we focus on providing you with the tools you need to build greater physical awareness, strength, coordination and flexibility. We don't focus on how you look; we focus on how you move and how you feel when you move. We combine Somatic Healing Arts practices such as Bodywork, Somatic Mapping, and Somatic Patterning with traditional strength training principles, mixed movement arts, conscious breathing techniques, and yoga. But ultimately, we aim to have a non-dogmatic approach toward movement. We want you to find freedom within your body. Clients come to Crawl Project when they want to get both flexible and strong, when recovering from injuries or when aiming to improve their performance.

Founded by Cape Town-based Coach and Bodyworker Richard-Dean Sumares, Crawl Project provides at-home and on-site private training, massage and bodywork.

Influenced by over two decades of practice.I offer a hybrid treatment where clients remain clothed, lying on a floor mat. Techniques include pressure, traction, percussion, brushing, assisted stretching, joint mobilisation, and sound healing.

Each session is tailored in real-time to address your specific needs, aiming to create a sacred ceremonial space.
